What's really good Colorado?

- First of all big ups to DJ Vajra, who just returned from the DMC World Championships where he performed his very own showcase!

If you don't know about DJ Vajra, you can see why he is receiving such honors by checking out footage of him on Youtube.

- Colorado MC Whygee has just released some new material with MC Sunkenstate. The two of them have joined forces with producer Kid Hum to release the 7 song EP "THE SUICIDE WATCH".

- Also, last month we had reported that Rapper/Producer/Karate Champion Ichiban had just released his debut album, Psycle Analysis.

Well this week we are happy to report that his album charted on the CMJ at # 18 in it's fourth week on the chart.

First of all sorry about the delayed update, we just haven't been feeling creative and shit.

Anyways this guy Just.One has been hitting us up lately about his new website, COStandup.com.

It's an ambitious project to say the least, with projected features including release dates, reviews, a social network, a blog, and a forum which even has its own Colorado Rap Report thread already... (what?! lol)

(it even has a launch date, New Years Day)

Anyways, make sure you peep the pre-release, where you can preview the overlook of this joint.

We will definitely be supporting this one, Just.One is a on some extremely pro-active shit and what he is doing has some real mass appeal to it.

Shout out to Whygee, who dropped this in our inbox earlier last week.

Him and the homie Sunken State recently teamed up with producer Kid Hum and recorded a 7 song EP entitled Suicide Watch. The EP which features beats entirely from Kid Hum is available for free download and features cuts and scratches by DJ Bmoney of The Basementalism Crew.

WhyGee and Sunkenstate "Good and Bad"

BOX STATE MUSIC

Box State Music is a website operated by Box State Hip Hop.

They have been building a buzz around their name for awhile now, before launching an official blog/website this last month.

The website is full of exclusive audio, including audio interviews with some of the best Rapper's in Colorado, as well as a ton of graffiti, photos from major local events, and a variety of news including a section for new releases.

Hit them up, follow them, subscribe, leave some feedback.

The Colorado Hip Hop Blog

The Colorado Hip Hop Blog is a popular journal on all things related to Hip Hop in the state of Colorado. It is written by Quibian Salazar-Moreno.

After Freshsites closed, this became the sort of official message board for the Colorado Hip Hop community.

It is high in traffic, content, and exclusive audio and video (which is the central theme of the blog).

Quibian also writes for a ton of other blogs and magazines, including the Westword where every Friday he contributes his "Rap-Up", a weekly Hip Hop newsletter.

You can check out a whole plethora of material he has penned if you check out The Colorado Hip Hop Blog, where he has linked a whole ton of stuff related to his career and just to Colorado in general.

3 THE HARDWAY ALBUM IS "SET IN STONE"

We have received word that 3 The Hardway is gearing up to release their new album, which they have named "Set In Stone".

This album is highly anticipated indeed, as it is to included some proper features from Braille (Lightheaded), Defari (Likwit Crew) and Doujah Raze (Rawkus).

Also, 3 The Hardway made some major moves last week in preparation for the album, signing a 3 YEAR BROADCAST/DISTRIBUTION DEAL with Mysonictonic Records.

Mysonictonic will be promoting/pushing the A.V.I.U.S. "Patience" album as well as the upcoming 3 The Hardway "Set In Stone" album.
